Described by his Anderson, Indiana high school coach as a "basketball junkie," Troy Taylor brings an aggressive mentality to Evansville.  Taylor is a quick, strong guard who likes to push the ball, pull up and score, or drive and create for others.  Taylor is a terrific athlete, and is known for working just as hard on defense as he does on offense.

 

     His hustling style of play should be a perfect fit for the Purple Aces, the school he chose over the likes of Ball State, Wright State, Texas Tech and Cincinnati.  "They showed they really wanted me as a person and a player," said Taylor. "Being away from home you want a family and it really seemed like I'd fit, on and off the floor."
